Ready Or Not

This should have been published early February but I forgot. LoL

I love sweets. The feeling of eating chocolates makes me feel I have butterflies in my stomach.
Eating chocolates, cakes, and ice cream gives me the feeling of cloud 9.

3 years ago I consulted an EENT because of recurring Tonsilitis. The doctor gave me antibiotics to take and after a week, still I'm not well. He requested a lab test to check whether it is caused by a bacteria or a virus. So 2 weeks passed, still I have tonsillitis. When I came back for a follow up check up, the doctor said I need to have a tonsillectomy. I got scared of the thought of removing my tonsils. So I never went back to that clinic again.

December 13, 2014 was our company's  Christmas Party. Shei and I didn't finish the program because the party was so lame. LoL. When we went to our room, I told her that I am not feeling well. She said that I probably need sleep. So we slept but in the middle of the night I woke up chilling, so I moved closer to her then fell asleep again. When I woke up I told her that I am not feeling good. After checking out from Sofitel we went to Borough Medical, located in SM Mall of Asia. I was checked by Dra.Viceral, Vice Ganda's sister ☺.  She gave me antibiotics, the same one that I took 3 years ago. A week passed but there are no improvements, so I decided to go to Clinica Manila. I told the doctor that my Tonsillitis is getting worst everyday, and that's the time that she told me that I need to undergo Tonsillectomy. **uh-oh** Well, I have a choice, it's either I undergo Tonsillectomy or I let my Tonsils grow big until I can't breathe anymore.

You might ask what's tonsillectomy:

So I decided to proceed with my Tonsillectomy. It was done on January 22, 2015 in Victor R. Potenciano Medical Center. I was admitted on the 21st because I need to undergo fasting. I was not allowed to eat or drink from 8PM until  the time of my operation.

On the day of operation, my nurses picked me up from my room and lead me to the operating room. The operation took 2 hours and I was in the recovery room for more than 4 hours. The last thing that I remember is the doctor was giving me anesthesia. The next thing I know, there are 6-8 nurses surrounding and holding me down. One of them said; "Ma'am, don't worry tapos na po.", then I passed out. When I woke up I was already in the recovery room and a nurse asked me how do I feel and I said, "Groggy, yung feeling ko teh. Para akong nasa moon." Then she told me it's normal, all I need to do is sleep, so I slept. The next time I woke up I was already in my room. My head hurts, ears hurt, I feel that all my body parts are aching. I can't swallow my own saliva and I just slept the whole day. 3 days after my operation, the doctor told me that I can now eat, but I can only eat Vanilla Ice cream, no other flavor since they need to observe if my throat is bleeding or not. I was not allowed to eat or drink anything hot, and anything that is colored. I was discharged 5 days after my operation.

It has been my 7-month post op and everything is going smoothly.
